Ania Hawley of Peru designs this soft and silky color-blocked scarf in peach and cream using an alpaca blend boucle yarn that gives it a wonderful texture. About her work, the artist says: “I observe a lot of color combinations in flowers, trees, and other natural life that I incorporate into my designs. I have traveled through different rural areas in our country and have spent a lot of time with craftsmen to learn about their textile techniques. It fills my heart with joy to be able to spread our culture through the art of textiles. The greatest satisfaction I have is to help the families that help me develop my products, and in this small way, contribute to fight against the poverty.”
