Every three months members receive a handsomely gift-wrapped, artisan-guided Undiscovered Box. Each quarterly box showcases a different NOVICA region. You may customize each box, or simply let us choose our favorite surprises for you. Each box also includes behind-the-scenes stories, insider facts, our regional curator’s favorite recipe of the season, and a personal gift from your Artisan Guide.
Undiscovered Box subscribers additionally benefit from access to (and significant savings at) our private new Undiscovered Add-On Market. Each Undiscovered Box delivers to subscribers our carefully-curated selection of NOVICA-certified handmade gifts and treasures.
Our main NOVICA website, and our new Undiscovered Box website are completely separate, with different shopping carts, customer service, user accounts and billing. Both are of course bound inextricably by NOVICA’s mission.
As you may already know, NOVICA is the world’s largest online fair trade Impact Marketplace for artists and artisans around the globe. Four times each year (every quarter), select your favorite products from our specially curated Undiscovered Box collection, or enjoy letting us surprise you with our favorites. You’ll receive a beautiful selection of handmade creations – from jewelry to clothing and accessories, to cultural treasures and home decor. Each box also includes fascinating behind-the-scenes stories, intriguing insider facts, and always a special gift from your Artisan Guide. Everything is handmade and NOVICA Certified: Fair Trade, quality tested, and verified by our NOVICA Region teams.
Each quarter, Undiscovered Box subscribers will receive access to an exclusive members-only Add-On Market. This marketplace will feature a curated selection of more than 100 favorite treasures, offered to our Undiscovered subscribers at members-only prices (up to 50% off NOVICA’s retail prices). Access to this special Add-on Market will be limited to the time of your initial subscription purchase, and again each quarter during the brief time allotted for customizing your box. Our wish is for our subscribers to have the opportunity, once each quarter, to enjoy special member discounts on a greater selection of our offerings – in addition to the curated box offerings.
The Add-On Market is completely optional. It is yours to peruse each quarter if you want to do some additional shopping. There is no fixed charge associated with Add-On Market purchases. You may purchase whatever individual offerings strike your fancy there, and at significant member savings.
All Undiscovered Box products are fair trade, socially-conscious and ethically handmade by NOVICA’s featured artisans in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

- If we do the choosing, all items will be gender-neutral, and require no further action on your part. This is the ideal way to establish your quarterly box account if you intend to gift the boxed shipments, which all come beautifully gift-wrapped, regardless.
- Once subscribed you will be able to access our Members-only Add-On Market.
- For each quarterly Undiscovered Box, you will be charged for the box you are subscribed to using your preferred payment method and will appear on your bank statement as “NOVICA SUBSCRIPTN”
- Subscriptions renew automatically each quarter.
- Subscriptions may be canceled at any time.
You will receive an email notification each quarter when our curated selection of regional products is available for you to make your selections – or to allow us to do so. That quarterly subscription email will also detail the specified timeframe within which your selection must be made, after which we will choose for you, if you have not done so. You may also make selections from our Members-Only Add-On Market during that same timeframe. If you’d like us to choose for you, simply sit back, ignore our quarterly email update altogether, and enjoy opening an intriguing box of beautiful, handmade surprises when it arrives at your doorstep!

The Undiscovered Box always includes gender-neutral choices, as well as choices for men and women. While some jewelry and apparel offerings may appeal more to one gender, your subscription box choices will always include gender-neutral options.

If you already completed checkout with your first box, then the window for your Add-On Market items has closed. This is because the Add-Ons most likely ship along with your purchase. Stay tuned until the next box for the next opportunity to shop the Add-On Market.
Shipping costs for purchases from the Add-On Market will vary depending on the items purchased.
Products purchased from the Add-On Market will not necessarily ship with your Undiscovered Box. Like all NOVICA products, they will ship directly from the region in which they are made. In the event your Add-On Market purchases ship separately from your box, the delivery timeframe for those additional purchases will be based on the items’ availability. On average, this can take from two to three weeks.
Yes! All Add-On Market purchases carry NOVICA’s 100% Happiness Customer Guarantee. All purchases are fully refundable within 60 days from the date the order is delivered. You must request a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number during this 60-day period to qualify for a refund.

Due to limited quantities of these artisan-crafted treasures, you are limited to one of each item per subscription box.

The deadline to update your shipping address prior to your next Undiscovered Box delivery is two weeks prior to shipping, since we will also need to update your shipping label at our international offices.You will also find a courtesy reminder of the deadline on your order renewal email.
You will be responsible for any address changes made after your Undiscovered Box has shipped. If your box is returned back to us, we are happy to re-ship it to your new location, but there will be an additional shipping fee.

Please note that your payment method on file will be charged quarterly (every three months) unless you wish to cancel your subscription.
After your initial purchase (you will be charged at that time for your first box), your quarterly subscription will always renew between the 15th and the end of every third month unless you skip a box or cancel your subscription:
You will receive an order confirmation email quarterly, after each box renewal.
Our autopay system makes its next renewal attempt the following day, and then once every six days for six more attempts. After that, if you have not updated your payment method with us, our system will stop trying to charge your account and your subscription will be marked as expired/cancelled.
If you wish to cancel your subscription, please email email@example.com as soon as you decide to do so, to prevent our system from attempting to renew your subscription.
If you know ahead of time that your card will be declined on the subscription payment due date, or if you want to delay your renewal date for a couple of days, please email firstname.lastname@example.org at least 5 days prior to the 15th, and we will be happy to make that adjustment for you.
NOVICA Rewards Credits, Gift Cards and Store Credits are valid for use on the regular NOVICA.com website only, and cannot be used towards your Undiscovered Subscription Box or items chosen from the Add-On Marketplace.
NOVICA promotion codes are valid for use on the NOVICA.com website only, and cannot be applied to the purchase of the Undiscovered Subscription Box or items chosen from the Add-On Marketplace.
We ship Undiscovered Boxes throughout the 50 United States as well as to the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom.
If your location is not listed, please contact us to request that we add it.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Customers outside the United States will be responsible for any duty, tax or import fees that are due at the time of delivery. At this time, those additional fees are not included in the amount we charge at the time of purchase.
If you are an active subscriber or a new subscriber who signed up during the pre-order period, your Undiscovered Box will ship between the 15th and the end of every three months. Please refer to our shipping schedule below. Once shipped, you will receive an email containing your tracking number.
If you are a new subscriber and sign up during the current box, your order will ship within 2 weeks. Once shipped, you will receive an email containing your tracking number.
All boxes start shipping on/around the 15th – we cannot ship the boxes any earlier. However, if you prefer to have your box shipped after the 15th, please email email@example.com as soon as possible so that we can hold your shipment for you.
The average delivery time is two weeks. A tracking number will be provided as soon as your box arrives in the US, and you can use that information to get an estimate of the expected delivery date.
If it has been at least seven days since your tracking number was provided, and the tracking details have not been updated, please email firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible so that we can contact the carrier.
Sometimes USPS prematurely scans a package as “delivered” before it physically arrives. We recommend waiting until the end of the day, and in our experience sometimes one to two more days, to see if the package arrives. Please also check around your home or mailbox, with a neighbor, your leasing office, lobby area, mailroom, security, etc.
If more than three days have passed since your order was updated to “delivered,” please email email@example.com so that we can contact the carrier.
Any missing boxes reported more than two weeks after USPS marks them as delivered, we will do our best to accommodate a replacement box but cannot guarantee a replacement, as our inventory of handmade items is generally limited. Replacement boxes may be subject to an additional shipping fee.
If your box was delivered to your previous address and not forwarded to your new address, please email firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible so that we can do our best to accommodate a replacement box (additional shipping fee applies). Remember that we cannot guarantee exact replacements, since inventory of handmade goods is limited.
Shipping costs start at $3.99 per box, and will depend on your shipping address. The exact cost will be displayed during checkout when you make your selections.
To cancel your subscription, please send an email to email@example.com. Once canceled, you will receive a confirmation via email. Please note that once your box is fulfilled, we are unable to cancel your order.
The last day to cancel your subscription is on the 1st of the month prior to your next renewal. Please refer to the schedule below for the exact deadlines.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will skip the upcoming box renewal for you. The deadlines above also apply to skipping the box.
Canceling your subscription prevents it from being auto-renewed; which means you will still receive the box you just paid for.
However, if you change your mind and want to cancel your order as well, please email email@example.com as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate your request before your box ships. Please note that once your box is fulfilled, we are unable to cancel your order.
While you may cancel your subscription at any time, unfortunately, we cannot cancel orders after the cancellation deadline has passed; by then your items have already been ordered for you. But we will, in that case, ensure no additional boxes are charged or shipped and cancel your subscription.
At this time, we do not offer a Single Box option. But you may cancel your subscription any time before the skip/cancel deadline to prevent your quarterly subscription from renewing.
We stand behind our Undiscovered Box and want you to be able to try out the service risk-free. If you are not completely satisfied with your first delivery, please reach out to us and we will assist in setting up a return for a full refund.
After your first delivery, Undiscovered Box purchases are final and non-refundable. Please note that we do not accept returns of individual box items, but purchases from the Add-On Market are eligible for return.
To initiate a return (within 60 days from the date the order is delivered), please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and we will provide full return instructions.
We are sorry to hear that and we will make it right! Please email email@example.com upon receiving your box. A photo of the damage or defect will help us expedite the product replacement process. If you are missing an item, please let us know which one/s and we will send a replacement.
In the case of damaged/defective/missing product inquiries made more than two weeks after the carrier marks the shipment as delivered, we will do our best to accommodate a replacement, but cannot guarantee an exact replacement since handmade inventories are limited.
Your Undiscovered Box items have been ordered, made, and reserved specifically for you, and the prices bundled to provide significant savings to you. For these reasons, we cannot offer refunds on items from the Undiscovered Box. Please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org if there is something specifically wrong with your box.
We include as many photos and details of each item (including dimensions, materials, uses, etc.) to help ensure your certainty in choosing each selection.
If an error has been made in your shipment, we will replace it at no charge, or offer you an alternative if the selected handmade item is no longer available.
To send an Undiscovered Box subscription, follow the same steps as you would to sign up for a new subscription, but simply enter the recipient’s name and shipping address instead of yours. We recommend entering your email address, however, so that you receive the order confirmation receipts and tracking emails.
Enter your gift message, and it will be included inside the first box shipped to your recipient.
If you wish to purchase more than one gift subscription, simply enter each as a separate order.
All gift subscriptions auto-renew quarterly (every three months), until you skip a box or cancel the gift subscription. If you would like to cancel a gift subscription after a certain number (i.e. cancel after two boxes), email email@example.com and we will arrange that for you.
