The weaving of stiff fibers such as stripped palm fronds is one of the oldest and most widespread crafts inherited from the Mesoamerican period in Mexico. A few artisans keep this heritage alive, such as Eulalio Alvarado of the state of Jalisco. He innovates by creating new designs, such as this set of three squared decorative baskets.
