'I wanted to create a vase with a more eye-catching design, so what could be better than integrating in some way one of the most important art forms of my region – our textiles? And that's how I came up with this vase featuring a modern design which doubles as a display for a vibrant Guatemalan fabric,' confides Patricio Coroy. He crafts the decorative vase by hand with sustainable alder wood, and adorns it with a multicolor cotton fabric that has been woven on a backstrap loom.
This vase is crafted with small diameter wood from sustainable forests - for every tree that is cut, 10 more are planted.
