The Balinese culture is rich in symbolism, with the sun and the moon figuring prominently in art. This intricate suar wood relief panel, presented by Luh Mas Sri Pertamiari, features the waning gibbous moon in profile protected by the ferocious dragon behind him. The natural finish enhances the grain of the wood.
