With a toothy smile and a wagging tail, a small white pup prepares for Mexico's Day of the Dead celebration. Miguel Zambrano works in papier mache to depict the xoloitzcuintli, a cheerful, barkless dog prized by ancient man. Sculpted in clay as funerary offerings, they accompanied their masters in death to aid the soul in crossing rivers of blood along the road of the dead.
