Tenango is one of Mexico's most widely recognized embroidery styles, but few people know it is from a small town called Tenango de Doria, Hidalgo, an Otomi community. By Guadalupe Navarro, it is a good example of traditional embroidery motifs which focus on local plants and animals. The reverse side is solid ivory with zipper closure.
