Sculptures from Ayacucho have been made with Huamanga stone for centuries. For this nativity scene, the Galvez Family has chosen to place his meticulously hand-sculpted figurines of Joseph, Mary, Baby Jesus, an angel and two animals inside a lean-to with a sloping tiled roof and pillars. They takes advantage of the variation in the stone's shading to create a unique piece of holiday decor, carrying on the work of their beloved husband and father, Carlos Galvez.
