The bold contrast of black and white adds drama to Julio Granados' original illustrations. The Andean artist prints them on an pair of face masks. On one, a child with stars in his hands poses with a fearsome white and purple dragon. On the other, a horse, a lizard, a dragonfly, elephant and rooster hide inside a complex labyrinth. Both masks feature stainless steel in the upper and lower hems for an adjustable fit. They are washable and reusable with elastic ear loops. Artisan-crafted in Peru, the pair has three layers — a cool and lightweight Taslan outer fabric, Pellon interfacing and a lining of a non-woven water-resistant cotton blend, treated with paraffin.
Avoid contact with alcohol, which could dissolve the paraffin.
