Carved by hand from hualtaco wood, a glorious butterfly takes flight in the pendant of this necklace. Antuane and Santos of Peru design the accessory which they complete with cotton cord and an aluminum s-hook clasp. The artisan pair are moved by their love of nature and planet Earth to use recycled wood for their jewelry pieces. Their inspiration for this necklace comes from their Maracuya plants. Larvae frequently feed on these plants and their fruit so that they can eventually turn into beautiful butterflies. Witnessing this transformation stimulates the artisans as they create each piece.
